That gimlet gaze is impressive. Steve knows nothing of this woman's history, but he's immediately convinced to be on his best behavior (he usually is, anyway, but sometimes he's more conscious of it). He goes inside when prompted, and he is also scanning the shelves. With his wholesome face and soft blue eyes, one might be forgiven for assuming he's just looking for the cats (partly he is), but his eyes linger over some of the plainer-looking implements and harnesses. Slightly flushed, thoughtful, not shocked.
His eyebrows jump when she snaps her fingers at him, but he doesn't argue, handing his hat off to Tony in case she needs his hands free for something. Pointedly, he doesn't bother looking at his own reflection, but his eyes flicker over the kaleidoscope images of Tony's face. He thinks he looks like he's enjoying this far too much.
"A little bit of dancer, a little bit of gymnast, a little bit of MMA," he says dryly. "I can ride a motorcycle but it wouldn't be any fun in the city."
