“I hope they make it into a musical,” Tony breathes, not entirely yielding to Steve as much as opening up to him. It’s a new relationship, he knows that, and sex is important to New romantic relationships. Tony isn’t opposed to it, though there are other things to focus on right now. He can’t believe he’s even thinking that, as his fingers lightly press to Steve’s shoulder. It’s the universal ‘woah boy’ gesture used by people everywhere. After they save the world, Tony can and will give Steve everything he can before Steve becomes invariably disenchanted or annoyed with him. Tony’s passions don’t waiver but his distractions, often seen as a charming part of his genius, eventually become insurmountable.

Even though he’s forced Steve to love him, to be in love with him, he knows it can’t be forever. Fatalistic as that may be, it was one of Tony’s less endearing but persuasive characteristics. Thanks dad.

“We should go over it again.” Tony, usually so impulsive, doesn’t want to take the chance on the timeline. He doesn’t like to restart levels from the save point. There might not even be a save point, because he has no way of testing their time machine without actually using it. They need to make this shot count because it could well be their only shot. “Before I really do stay up until dawn designing sex toys.”

At this point, there’s a day and a half until Loki arrives. Tomorrow will have to count.
